Event Application for Neighcon

Have a crazy idea for NeighCon 2026 that won't fit inside a dusty panel room? Then this application is for you!

Special events are not limited to traditional panel spaces. NeighCon would like to take an active role in facilitating the many outings and meetups that occur throughout the convention weekend. This could be as simple as a handheld gaming meetup or getting group rate tickets to a local attraction. We encourage applicants to think creatively though! If you want to reserve a theater, book a ship, perform a séance, or just setup a bar crawl this application is a great place to start.

At minimum the con will help coordinate and advertise your event. We also have many resources we could use to assist you such as AV equipment, staff, expertise, room space, and a limited amount of funding. Let us know how we can help. Please note that ultimately, organizing and hosting the event is your responsibility. This application is not a suggestion box. Only apply if you or someone you know is willing help put on the event.

Describe the event to us in your own words. Events relating to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, MLP in general, the MLP fandom, or Baltimore are encouraged but not required.

Events with explicit or otherwise adult content are permitted, but must be labelled as such. Please mention if you plan to include adult content of any kind.

A/V Equipment

Please list any A/V equipment you might need. For Example: wifi hotspot, projector, loaner laptop, blue tooth or stage speakers, etc.

Staff

Would providing staff assistance help you with your event? Please list how we might help. For example: 'I need expertise, I need several extra hands for setup/teardown, I need an extra chaperone, etc.

Transportation

Do you need some form of transportation to and from your event? How far away is the event and how many people do you expect?

Would some art from the design team help spark interest in your event? Let us know what you have in mind.
